Equipping Ministry
At the end of your life, would you like to know that you left a significant impact on the world? Would you like to identify your heart's desire, your passion? Do you want to learn more about how you can connect with other people through volunteering? Are you interested in plugging into a place of service where you will feel energized instead of drained?
Then this is the site for you! A vital part of doing life deeply with God and others is serving in ministry. The Scriptures teach that God has uniquely designed each person for the purpose of ministering to Him and each other. The main elements of His design that we consider through our S.H.A.P.E. course and use to help you find the right place to serve are:
- Spiritual Gifts
- Heart or passion
- Abilities, talents and skills
- Personality or personal style
- Experiences
This 4-week course is offered at various times during the year through “Foundations”.
God has designed you to minister his grace to people. However, most of us do not think about the things we do as "ministry". Through understanding God's plan for your life, you can grasp the full meaning of ministry, and begin to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving God and others.
S.H.A.P.E.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
As God’s “masterpiece”, you are a work of divine art. Come discover how God has given you a unique S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences) to do the “good things” he has planned for you. Assessments are completed during the course to identify these five elements, and produce a “Personal Profile” of your unique “shape”.
This course is taught by Paul Zigan. Prior to joining our staff, Paul spent 17 years as an associate pastor at a large church in California, and has taught S.H.A.P.E. for numerous years. He and his wife Joy now reside in Monument, CO.
Our next class runs Sunday, Sept. 14 - Sunday, Oct. 5, 8:45-10:15 pm in the RR Worship Ctr, Rm 107. Cost: $10
