If the Good News is really that good, then some celebration is in order. This doesn’t mean simply gathering back at camp to sing a few songs after the work is over. It means taking the joy we have in Christ out to the people we meet.
Celebrating can take the form of giving the gift of mobility by providing a wheelchair to a disabled person, or by participating as a short term missionary to celebrate the entire special needs family unit at a Joni and Friends family retreat. It can also mean travelling to another country to help celebrate milestones in the lives of those people Woodmen has touched over the years through Compassion International or Children’s HopeChest.
Whatever it looks like, celebration is an important part of bringing the blessing of the Gospel into the lives of those around us.
Brazil Joni and Friends (JAF) Trip - Provide wheelchairs to the disabled in partnership with JAF while sharing the Gospel of Jesus with them, their families, friends and neighbors. Join in building relationships with local churches as we distribute wheelchairs, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Christ Haven Trip (Divide, CO) – Celebrate the entire special needs family unit by participating as a short term missionary at our Joni and Friends Family Retreat this summer. Join our team to help provide outdoor fun in a place where God’s glory is so evident, teach VBS to children, love on the siblings through our sibshop program, and provide a time of respite for the parents where they can reconnect, be pampered and celebrated.
GO. Celebrate – Hear stories and the impact of our global ministries from mission team members, missionaries and guests from our partnering organizations. Celebrate the impact of God at work across the globe.
