Providing essential building blocks for your spiritual growth and development

Foundations is offering the following classes for our 2008 Fall semester. The cost of each class is $10.

Living Out Your True Identity in Christ

We will be encountering who God is and who we are in Christ, how we walk by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit, and why we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This course is based on Neil Anderson’s DVD based curriculum, Freedom In Christ.

Facilitated by the WVC Team of Brent Williams, Cindy Fitzkee, Judy Dunagan & Rich Griffith.

S.H.A.P.E.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

As God’s “masterpiece”, you are a work of divine art. Come discover how God has given you a unique S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences) to do the “good things” he has planned for you. Assessments are completed during the course to identify these five elements, and produce a “Personal Profile” of your unique “shape”.

This four-week course is taught by Pastor Paul Zigan.

Sunday mornings, Oct. 12 - Nov. 2
8:45 - 10:15 am, WH Colorado Room

What is Foundations?

Providing essential building blocks for your spiritual growth and development

Foundations seeks to promote personal spiritual growth and development through a variety of strategic classes and seminars.

What types of classes are offered?
We offer two categories of classes: Core and Electives. The Core includes those foundational courses that are central to the Christian faith.

The following classes represent the Core:
Overview of the Old Testament, Overview of the New Testament, Essential Beliefs I, Essential Beliefs II, Overview of Church History, Life of Christ
World Views

The Electives include a variety of special interest topics from the following categories:
Apologetics, Bible Books, Church in Culture, Evangelism, Leadership, Marriage, Parenting, SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts Class), Spiritual Disciplines, Stewardship, Worship

What type of classroom environment can I expect?
Most of our classes are small (20-25 people) and interactive in nature to encourage questions and discussion. Additionally, as you learn and grow, you'll meet other people and feel more "connected" to the Woodmen community.

Who are the teachers?
The faculty mainly consists of well-qualified Woodmen staff and members within our church. Occasionally, we'll invite someone from the community at large to teach. All individuals are gifted in the area of teaching and are excellent communicators! Our teachers welcome your questions and are accessible beyond the classroom. Their greatest desire is to help participants grown in their relationship with Christ!

When are classes offered?
Classes are typically 8-10 weeks in length and are primarily offered during the Fall Semester (October-December) and the Spring Semester (February-May) of each year.
