The Fact Behind The Fiction of the DaVinci Code
Fact and Fiction. Two slightly different words...two drastically different concepts. My willingness and ability to distinguish between the two will determine whether my journey is grounded in reality or not.
With the release of the movie, The DaVinci Code, based on Dan Brown's best selling novel, the importance of distinguishing between fact and fiction is elevated to the ultimate level because the focal point is the person and work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the stakes couldn't be higher when it comes to accurately deciphering what is fact and what is fiction.
Have those of us who claim to have tasted His redemptioin--who call ourselves followers of Christ--been duped by a sutble but enormously stunning religious consipracy? Teh buzz about The DaVinci Code presents us all with a great opporutnity to honestly engage with questions that really matter. During the series, we'll address some of those core issues. God has never been afraid of honest questions. So let's take this opportunity to explore and find our about the trustworthiness of the foundations of our fath?
