Ushers
Stationed inside auditoriums at both our campuses, ushers not only welcome those coming to services at Woodmen, but help latecomers find seats — no easy task in our packed services. During the services, ushers also collect the offering, and serve communion as needed. Ushers also assist parents of young children.

Greeters
Greeters provide a smile and a warm greeting to everyone entering our weekend services, including our first-time guests. Often, greeters answer questions newcomers might have, or connect them with a nearby campus guide. They also provide bulletins to the adults and special programs to children.

Guest Central Hosts
Many of our first-time guests will stop by Guest Central at some point on their first visit to Woodmen. As the one place where first-time visitors can find out more about everything going on at Woodmen, this can be a great place to help people make a connection point within our church, and help them take the “next steps” here at Woodmen.

Campus Guides
Often the first point of contact for our first-time visitors, campus guides are easily identifiable by their navy blue vests and outgoing personalities. They assist newcomers who are trying to find their way to classrooms, figure out where to drop off their kids, and generally find their way around our Rockrimmon campus.
Time Requirement: 1 hr/month

Access Ministries, ”Special Needs”
Access seeks to offer opportunities to individuals and families dealing with special needs to come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to provide them with opportunities to rise to the potential for which God created them.
One-on-One Aides: Provides assistance for a “special needs” student, so they can be successful in their typical peer classroom.
Time Requirement: 2 hrs/week - 2.5 hrs/week
Teacher Assistant: Provides class instruction and leads “special needs” students through the weekend curriculum, and assists the teacher in the classroom on Sunday morning at the Igniter’s Class at 9 am.
Time Requirement: 2 hrs/week
Children’s Ministry (KidsCove)
Our passion in children’s ministries is to provide an environment where children can Explore Gods’ Truth, Experience God’s Grace and Express God’s Love.
We are excited about the staff and team of ministry partners here at WVC who are committed to showing Jesus' love to our kids. In order for us to maintain a safe, fun, and caring environment, we need an adult in every classroom — and we invite the entire church to come serve with us to help make that happen.
Worship Leader: To lead children in praise/worship and have them walk away with Biblical truths and learn to worship the Lord through the arts.
Time Requirement: 3 services, 1 weekend/month
Greeter: To create a positive first impression of our Children's Ministry. To welcome families in a warm, friendly and courteous manner.
Time Requirements: 2 1/2 hours, 1 weekend/month
Small Group Leader/Assitant Small Group Leader: To teach the Bible to children and have them walk away with Biblical truths. To see children receive every opportunity to have a solid foundation and receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior when they reach the age of accountability.
Time Requirements: preferably 2 1/2 hours, every weekend during the same service time.

Connections Café & Bookstore
Connections Bookstore's mission is to provide resources necessary for discovery, growth, and encouragement for and within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. It is our intention to use fiscal stewardship through Biblical principles to be in a position to support and bless the ministries of Woodmen Valley Chapel. Your support is vital to that goal.&
Connections Bookstore Frontliner: Run a Point of Sale register and offer customer service during weekend services.
Time Requirement: 3 hours/month
Connections Café Barista or Server: Several positions are needed within Café Operations to serve the congregation during weekend services, including: barista, Point of Sale register, and cold drink station.
Time Requirement: 3 hours/month
Connections Café Video Café Server: Maintain Video Café service at Stone Chapel to stock product and serve our congregation in that video venue.
Time Requirement: 3 hours/month
Connections Café Weekday Barista: Unique Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning need of serving customers during the week by running the register and making drinks.
Time Requirement: 3 hours/month
Connections Bookstore Weekday Service: More directed position at merchandising store, restocking inventory, cleaning, and some customer service.
Time Requirement: 3-4 hours/month
Connections Marketing Assistant: Help with writing and editing newsletters, email blasts, book reviews, and flyers to promote the events and products within Connections Bookstore.
Time Requirement: 4-6 hours/month
Communion Prep Team
Communion servers and preparers serve an important role on Communion Sundays. Servers are responsible for serving Communion elements of bread, juice and holding the empty tray. Preparers collaborate in the set-up and clean-up of Communion for a given worship service in this important behind-the-scenes role.

Saturday PM Communion Prep Team: Prepare trays with cups/juice and baskets with wafers before service, and place where needed; re-fill trays and baskets after service for Sunday morning.
Time Requirement: 3 hrs., every 4-6 weeks
Sunday AM Communion Prep Team: Re-fill trays with cups/juice and baskets with wafers between services, and place where needed; re-fill trays and baskets after final service for Sunday evening; wash and wipe-down trays and baskets not being used, and place in storage cabinets.
Time Requirement: 3 hrs., every 4-6 weeks
Sunday PM Communion Prep Team: Empty the trays of cups/juice and baskets of wafers after service; wash and wipe-down trays and baskets and place all back in storage cabinets.

Sports & Recreation
We believe that the care of God's people extends to serving their physical needs as well. We also believe that we can honor God though our bodies. No matter what your God-given abllities are, we invite you to join us in fun, fellowship and great competition.
Recreational Volleyball Leaders: Provides assistance and leadership at our Monday evening Recreational Volleyball open gym at the Rockrimmon Campus. Leaders guide the formation of teams and sets up needed equipment. Leaders help provide a welcoming and fun environment for those looking to connect within Woodmen Valley Chapel and for those who are new to Woodmen.
Time requirement: 4 hours/month, on Monday evenings
Open Gym Basketball Leaders: Provides assistance and leadership at our Saturday morning Recreational Basketball open gym at the Rockrimmon Campus. Leaders guide the formation of teams and sets up needed equipment. Leaders help provide a welcoming and fun environment for those looking to connect within Woodmen Valley Chapel and for those who are new to Woodmen.
Time requirements: 4-8 hours/month, on Saturday mornings
Christ-centered Yoga Instructors: Certified instructors lead various Christ-centered Yoga classes scheduled in the evening or morning at both campuses.
Time Requirements: 1 ½ hours/class per week. Class times can be set to your schedule.
Winter Hike Guides: Assists leaders on area winter hikes and snowshoe trips. Winter season is January – February on Saturdays.
Time Requirements: Pre-season: 4 hours/month for training. Hiking season: 6-9 hours/month
Summer Camp Coaches: Coaches needed for basketball, volleyball, football and soccer camps in June and July.
Time requirements: Pre-camp season in May: 8 hours/month for training (CPR/First Aid and camp program). Camp Season: 16 hours over 4 mornings of the camp
Campus Safety and Medical Team
The Safety Team is the "eyes and ears" during service times, using two-way radios. They serve in the parking lot and inside the main buildings.
The Medical Team members are available to assist the congregation in the event that someone becomes ill during the service they are attending. They primarily serve in the Auditoriums when needed.
Campus Safety Team: Assists with weekend services, AWANA, Student Ministry events on Sunday evenings, special events and concerts.
Time requirement: 4-8 hours/month, plus 4 hours bi-monthly training
Campus Medical Team: Functions within the Campus Safety team and assists attendees that have become ill while attending weekend services or special events. Provides comfort and first responder care prior to EMS arrival and provides briefing upon EMS arrival. EMT A/B, RN or MD needed.
Time requirement: 4-8 hours/month, plus 4 hours bi-monthly training
Women
Our hope is that women will grow toward a deeper amazement of God’s grace and compassionately serve Him together through the Women’s Ministries at Woodmen Valley Chapel. We have dynamic, in-depth Bible studies and relevant mentor and support groups for women at all stages of life.
Mentor Moms: Mentor young moms through our MOPS ministries on the 1st/3rd Thursday mornings at Rockrimmon or 1st/3rd Tuesday mornings at Woodmen Heights.
Time Requirement: 6-8 hrs/month
Needs: (5) Moms
Special Events
Assists our staff in setting up the venue for special assimilation events for newcomers, such as the Woodmen Welcome and Discovery class.
Time Requirement: 4-6 hrs/quarter
Administrative Support
Assists our staff by processing tear-offs from the weekend services, processing information for newcomers, helping reproduce course materials, assemble notebooks, prepare class materials and handouts, file information, etc., all as your schedule allows.
Time Requirement: 2-3 hrs/week
Pastoral Care
Our Pastoral Care Ministries seek to provide biblically centered counsel for life's challenges. This ministry includes premarital counseling, proactive seminars and workshops on life skills, benevolence and crisis instruction. The ministry also provides training for individuals who wish to work in crisis intervention, hospital, and nursing home ministry.
Premarital/Mentor Couples: Provide discipleship and mentoring for pre-marital couples participating in the Premarital Class.
Time Requirement: 6-8 hrs/month
Blended Family Mentors/Facilitators: Provide education, discipleship, and mentoring for blended families/couples.
Time Requirement: 8-10 hrs/month
Hospital Visitation Team: Visit people in the hospital to provide encouragement and prayer to them and their loved ones.
Time Requirement: 2 visits/month
“Heart to Home” Meals Team: Prepare and deliver meals to families in need due to illness, hospitalization, death in the family or new baby.
Time Requirement: 2 meals/month
Stephen Minister: Provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people who are going through a difficult situation in life.
Time Requirement: 8-10 hrs/month
Tech Support: Provide tech support for Pastoral Care workshops and support groups as needed.
Time Requirement: 4 hrs/quarter

The Student Ministries of WVC are committed to helping young people start living out the life of Christ here and now, everyday. The way we put it: tomorrow's generation becoming today's church.
ROCKRIMMON SouledOut (Middle School)
Sunday Night ReMix Leaders: Builds relational connections with Middle School students on Sunday nights in a group setting, helping them process the evening message and apply it to their lives, and then follows-up with several students throughout the week.
Time Requirement: 2.5 hrs/week, and 2 hr. monthly Leader Training
Sunday Night
Welcome Desk Team: Greets students, provides information about upcoming events and SouledOut program, collects contact information on new students, and assists staff during the service.
Time Requirement: 2.5 hrs, 2x/month
Mid-Week: (Tuesday Evening) 360 Group Leaders: Leads a group of 5-15 Middle School students in a mid-week small group environment by teaching and facilitating discussions in a host home.
Time Requirement: 1.5 hrs/week (plus prep time), and 2 hr. monthly Leader Training
ROCKRIMMON Fusion (High School)
Break Group Leader: Builds relational connections with High School students on Sunday nights in a group setting, helping them process the evening message and apply it to their lives, and then follows-up with several students throughout the week.
Time Requirement: 2.5 hrs/week, and 2 hr. monthly Leader Training
“Special Needs” Leader: Acts as a companion to a “Special Needs” student (either Middle School or High School) throughout the evening activities.
Time Requirement: 2.5 hrs/week
Mid-Week: (Wednesday or Thursday Night)
Small Group Leader: Leads a group of 5-15 High School students in a mid-week small group environment in a host home by facilitating discussions on staff-directed curriculum, supported by a Leader Guide.
Time Requirement: 2.0 hrs/week (plus prep time), and 2 hr. monthly Leader Training

Worship Arts
Looking for a place to plug in and use your technical or creative abilities here at Woodmen? The worship Arts ministry might be the perfect place for you. We’re looking for camera, lighting, audio and power point operators for weekend services. We also have room for vocalists, instrumentalists, visual artists and more.
Cameras: Operates camera to video services for all video venues. Three week training provided.
Time Requirements: 8-hrs; serves either Saturday or Sunday, 1x/month
Video Café Techs: Serves in Sound Booth in the Stone Chapel's Video Café. Some sound experience needed.
Time Requirements: 15-hrs, 1 weekend/month
Computer Operators: Operates computer during weekend services for side screens. Training provided.
Time Requirements: 8-hrs, 1 weekend/month
Service Producers: Produces weekend services. Understanding of production experience helpful; training provided.
Time Requirements: 15-hrs, 1 weekend/month
Lighting Operators: Operates Light Board during weekend services. Training provided, theatrical experience helpful.
