Blodgett Peak Overlook Hike

Description: Get ready for an aerobic workout. Once we hit the forest service trail the incline doesn't let up until you get to the top. You will be rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view that includes Colorado Springs, the Air Force Academy, and Rampart Reservoir. There is even a summit register for people to document their accomplishment.
This is a challenging hike with climbs up loose, steep scree sections. Adequate footwear and a sense of balance are required. Gaiters are also helpful.
Directions From I-25: Take the I-25 Woodmen off-ramp, exit 149 and head west. Turn right onto Woodmen Road at the light, and proceed past WVC for 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Orchard Valley Road and drive 1.1 miles until the T-intersection with Centennial Blvd (It's Centennial Blvd if you turn left, Woodmen Road if you turn right). Turn right onto Woodmen Road and head north for 0.9 miles. We will be meeting at the Blodgett Open Space parking lot, which will be on the left hand side of the road (this parking lot might still be under construction but you can park on either side of the road).
