Often, the work of missions involves God using us to make dreams come true; to perform minor miracles of love in the lives of our neighbors. From clean wells in African villages to new buildings built in a few days, we can bless communities in overwhelming ways.

Sometimes, however, reaching out can be as simple as lending a helping hand. Our support initiatives and trips are about doing just that; supporting others as they get back on their feet or giving a little push to a good thing that is already happening.

From a steaming-hot meal served from the Mobile Kitchen to purchasing slave free products to join in abolishing modern day slavery, or writing encouragement notes to send with mission team members, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

• Buy Free – End Slavery (Slave Free) – As a consumer you can address one of the greatest human rights issues of our day, modern day slavery. Evaluate the products you buy through Free2Work.org to identify companies which do not have forced, trafficked or child labor in their production. Take action to end slavery.
• Operation 328 – a community group of people who encourage, affirm, support and pray for the mission teams sent out by God through WVC Global Impact.
• Next Step – Next Step is designed to challenge and stretch the heart, mind and faith concerning a commitment to world missions and to prayerfully discern God’s specific call. This process helps to determine, recruit, prepare and empower individuals to take of up their call as long-term missionaries.
• A.C.T.S. - The Food Pantry Team distributes food donated every week (1CAN ICAN Ministry) to the homeless and faith-based food pantries in our community in addition to teaching nutrition and creating crock pot meals for those in need.
• A.C.T.S. - The Mobile Kitchen Team has served over 10,000 meals to hungry folks during the last two years. We have a critical need for drivers who are experienced in pulling a 30-foot trailer as well as drivers who have a vehicle that can pull a small enclosed supply trailer.

The following trip is closed for this year, but may occur again in the future:

• Swaziland Trip – July 8-20, 2011, $3,000. The team will work with orphans at the Carepoint in Big Bend and complete some minor construction projects.
