Glen Eyrie Castle Gardening
For any gardening enthusiasts, volunteer Katie DiFelice offers an opportunity to work in some of the prettiest gardens in town. Among the gardens that need care at the Castle are: castle patio gardens, rose garden, xeriscape garden, rock garden and smaller garden around the lodges and Pink House. If enjoying the Glen and gardening are your interests, give Katie a call at 719.535.2745.  It’s a great time to work alongside those of like heart and interest.

Band Music
Founder and Director Bill Callen leads the Pikes Peak New Horizons Band organization for adults who: (a) currently play a familiar instrument; (b) want to  relearn an instrument they have played in the past; or, (c) learn to play a band instrument for the first time. Average age of participants is 70 with the oldest at 94! These bands meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (September – November & mid January – April) to rehearse for periodic concerts.  All levels of ability are accepted. … sewing and knitting opportunities await you! Contact Ann Koontz at 719.265.2725 for a Monday morning group that sews sleeping bags for the homeless. To join the team that cuts and sews wheelchair pads and bags, contact Bob or Pat Trotter at 719.495.4272. If you like to knit or crochet, cancer prayer shawls are delivered regularly to WVC’s Pastoral Care Ministries or Dave Dravecky’s Outreach of Hope Ministry.
