Partnership in Action - Compassion

"What would happen if we took the towel as a church and served and began to invite people to start collaborating together as strategic ministry partners?" -Pastor Matt Heard

Six years ago, Pastor Matt guided our congregation to focus on the biblical mandate to partner with churches in developing countries. Since then, our congregation has increased overall involvement in all aspects of the church – and we're now reaching a broader range of areas. Woodmen has expanded the partnership to encompass all core Compassion programs:

Child Sponsorship Program
Hundreds of members now sponsor Compassion children.

Child Survivial Program
Our Children's Ministries are engaged by donating weekend offerings to support infant and toddler survival.

Leadership Development Program
WVC sponsors two Leadership Development students, giving them the opportunity to earn a college degree and develop leadership skills.

AIDS Initiative
WVC participates in various ways in HIV/AIDS initiatives in Africa. Click Here for more information.

Disaster Relief
WVC participates in disaster relief support, such as the recent Peru earthquake.

Overseas Mission Trips
Adults and students travel on mission trips all over the world
