Weekend Tips
What to Bring
When packing your child’s diaper bag, please include diapers, pacifier, a bottle of formula if needed, a change of clothes and any “security” items that will help us comfort your child if necessary. We ask that you clearly mark all items in your child’s diaper bag, including the diaper bag. Tags are available if needed.
What to Expect:
Upon arrival, please stop by our Greeter Desk. Our friendly greeters will assist you in filling out a guest registration form. They will supply you with a nametag for your child and a tag with a matching number for you to keep. The greeter will also give you your child's classroom number and directions to the classroom. Our classroom leader will assisst you in checking your child into the room. Please advise them of any information that will help us in caring for your child (pacifier, etc.).
After you have completed the check-in process, please separate quickly from your child at the classroom. Many times it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long and becomes easier over time. Our classroom leaders will immediately comfort your child and engage them in an activity. If your child cries for a prolonged time, we will page you.
If you are needed to return to your child’s classroom, you will be paged through our silent pager system. Your child’s number will be displayed on the monitors in the sanctuary and all screens on campus.
Upon pick-up, give your portion of the tag to the classroom leader; they will match your parent tag with your child’s tag to ensure that only an authorized person is picking up your child.
Snacks
We provide snacks for children 1 year of age and above. We serve only graham crackers or Cheerios and water (formula in bottles for infants under 1 year) due to allergies. Please alert your child’s classroom leader if they are unable to have grahams or Cheerios.
Checking on your Child
Feel free to check on your child if you feel it is necessary, but please be discreet – try not to let your child see you. This can be distracting to the children and teachers both. You may also ask one of our staff members to check on your child for you.
Your Child’s Health
In the interest of keeping everyone healthy, we ask that you do not bring your child if he/she displays any type of illness including these symptoms:
fever/vomiting green or yellow runny nose
diarrhea excessive coughing
discharge in or around the eyes questionable rash
