The Elementary Fleet for Children's Ministry
Exploring, Experiencing and Expressing God's Grace through Children
Our Purpose
In much the same way a cove protects boats and the shoreline from the wind and waves of the ocean, Kidz Cove provides a safe and educational environment for your child. Here your children will find a place of refuge where they can Explore God's Truth, Experience God's Grace and Express God's Love with a safe and caring group of Ministry Partners.
We believe children are a gift from God and as such should be cared for and equipped with the necessary tools that prepare them for the plan God has for their lives. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit children will be given a strong spiritual foundation that fosters a Biblical worldview and the belief that no matter what happens in their life, they will always have their faith, hope and the love of Jesus Christ to carry them through. Our vision is to see an exciting, growing children's ministries where children are engaged and want to learn more about God's plan for their life, an experience that creates excitement within the family unit and encourages parents to be involved.
Weekend Services
Everyone from 1st grade through 5th grade is invited to attend Kidz Cove. Identical services are provided every weekend at our Rockrimmon and Woodmen Heights campuses. Times are 4:45 & 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday at 8:45 and 11:00.
Kidz Cove - Elementary Curriculum
Who is the curriculum for?
252BasicsChildren's Curriculum plans are designed for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. They are for churches and schools looking for relevant, fun, and easy to use materials that are also appealing to different kinds of learners, biblically and educationally sound, and adaptable to any location (church or school building, house, outdoors, etc.) at any time, day or evening.
What does it look like?
The curriculum provides a full year’s worth of plans, each written for 1 hour, easily expandable to 1 1/2 hours. The plans have three components, each targeted to a particular type of learning and relational environment:
1. PLUG IN (Small Groups)
Plug In is designed to introduce children to the weekly topic in a setting
that gives them individualized attention from their Small Group Leader
and plenty of interaction with a small group of peers.
2. POWER UP (Large Group)
Power Up is designed to engage children in worship within a large group setting. music, prayer, and an innovative approach to the Bible story are always a part of this interactive time.
3. CATCH ON (Small Groups)
Catch On is designed to help kids understand how the day's topic applies to them. They will discuss real-life experiences, interact with a close-knit group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles.
