October: Let's Make a Difference
Make a Difference Month is an annual event sponsored by the Pikes Peak United Way. This will be the second year Woodmen Valley Chapel is participating in this project. Last year we conducted a major yard cleanup in the Hillside neighborhood. Over 1,300 volunteers from our church joined in on this event.
This year we are going to focus on the needs of the families of deployed soldiers. We are partnering with the Third Brigade Combat Team and their 2,500 families who live in our community. We are planning activities for every Saturday morning in October. This is a wonderful family and small group event.
