Our Mission

We seek to offer opportunities to individuals and families dealing with special needs to come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to provide them with opportunities to rise to the potential for which God created them.

Our Programs

Adult Classes:
A ministry for adults with special needs from the ages of 18 and over.

A class for adults with developmental disabilities meets Sundays at 8:45 am in RR Comm Ctr, Rm 102. This class will provide these adults the opportunity to experience the joy of knowing God individually. For details or to sign up, email Carol Brown or call 719.205.4509.

Volunteer to provide these adults the opportunity to rise to the potential for which God created them. For more info, contact email Carol Brown at 719.205-4509.


Special Friends:
A program for children with any special need from ages birth -18 years old. Special Friends is designed for these children to experience the love and joy of knowing our God in an environment that is unique to each child’s special needs.

Respite Care Nights:
The first Thursday of each month, Sept through May.
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Place: Room 101 in Noah’s Ark
We will also provide childcare for the siblings of special needs children birth-11 at this time.

Exceptional Kids Club

Time: 9 am-12 pm
Place: Woodmen Valley Chapel
Exceptional Kids Club is a quarterly club designed for Kindergarten to 8th grade students with disabilities. Families are invited to come and have fun! We need volunteers to help with crafts and games. Contact Katie Garvert at 719.388.4948 to register your child.

Signing:
Currently at our Rockrimmon campus, we have sign language interpreters available at the 11 am service. There are also signing services at our Woodmen Heights campus at 8:45 am. Please check your bulletin for dates and times when interpreters will be available. Other activities will be interpreted on an as-needed basis.

Workshops to learn sign language are offered 3-4 times a year. For more information, contact Debbie Fenlason by email or call 719.599.9144.
