Kevin Healy
Kevin has been a member of the Elder Council since 2001 and is currently serving as the Elder Moderator..
Kevin and his wife Dawn have one son, Noah. They have been active members of the Woodmen family since 1987. He has served Woodmen Valley in the past as an Awana leader, Small Group leader, Sunday School teacher and Finance Committee moderator. Kevin works as a Design Engineer for Intel Corporation.
Kevin's ministry passions include developing a deeper amazement of God's grace through the study and teaching of His Word and integrating the next generation into the life and leadership of the church.
Matt Heard
Matt serves as Senior Pastor at Woodmen Valley, as well as liaison between the staff and the Elder Council.
Matt and his wife, Arlene, have three boys, Andrew, Joel and Stephen. The Heards have been in Colorado Springs since August 2001, having left Grand Rapids, MI.
His four primary areas of passion and responsibility include vision-casting, shepherding, preaching and leading.
Jaan Heinmets
Jaan and his wife Shirley have been active at Woodmen Valley since 1988. They have one son, Matthew. Jaan has served as an Elder since 1994.
Jaan gives distribution oversight to a national outreach called Lift Up America and serves on the National Team of Here's Life Inner City, a ministry of CRU. His passions include equipping the church to serve the less fortunate, literacy and evangelism. Jaan's areas of involvement at Woodmen are co-leading a weekly men's Bible study/fellowship group and involvement in the A.C.T.S. ministry.
David Helmer
David and his wife Sherry have been actively involved at Woodmen Valley since 1983. David has served as an Elder since 1987 (several different 3-year terms). He also served on WVC founding Pastor Bill Dodder's Spiritual Advisory Committee which was the predecessor to the Elder Council. David has served as an elder under all four WVC pastors.
David works at Atmel Corporation in the role of Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety. His ministry passions include missions and teaching adults. Over the years David has served on several WVC missions committees and he has taught several different adult Bible classes as well. David and Sherry have been involved at the Woodmen Heights campus since the first Sunday the Liberty Community opened its doors. David serves on the Hospital Visitation Team and attends the Men's Bible Study at Woodmen Heights.
David and Sherry have three children, all who grew up at WVC; Ryan and wife, Stephanie live in Houston, TX, Rachel and husband Ben D'Ardenne live in Waco, TX, after graduating from Baylor University. Regan is a senior, mining engineering major at Missouri Science Technology University in Rolla, Missouri.
David and Sherry have been blessed with two granddaughters.
Carl Lane
Carl and his wife, Ann, have been at Woodmen since 1995. They have one son, Chris and 3 grandchildren living here. Carl has served on the Elder Council since 2000 and also serves on WVC's Finance Committee. In 1993, Carl retired from management with Halliburton Company.
His ministry passions include hospitality and helping people grow in their walk with Christ. Carl's involvement at Woodmen also includes leading a Small Group, assisting with Baby Dedications and greeting at Woodmen Heights.
Randy Scott

Randy and his wife BJ have been actively involved at Woodmen Valley Chapel since moving to Colorado Springs in 1995. Randy joined the Elder Council in 2008 and also serves on the board of the Center for Strategic Ministry (CSM) as Chairman and is actively involved in both Men’s and Community Impact Ministries.
Randy is semi-retired but very active in the community through his consulting business where he works with nonprofits, businesses and ministry organizations. Randy loves reading, golf and motorcycles.
Randy and his wife BJ have two sons; Derek and his wife Katie, and their two daughters, Ellie and Sydney, live in Oklahoma City, OK; Kirk and his wife Debbee, and their four sons, Aidan, Brogan, Cashton and Daxson, live in Indio, CA.
Cam Seelye

Cam and his wife Shanna have been actively involved at Woodmen Valley Chapel since moving to Colorado Springs in 2007. They currently have five children: Phoenix, Aneesia, Brandon, Dillan & Liam ... this is always changing as they adopt kids from the Foster Care system. Cam also serves as an advisor to the Men's Ministry Leadership Team and loves serving in any capacity around Woodmen and the community. Shanna has been involved with the Women's Ministry and has worked with Pregnancy Services. Cam & Shanna enjoy walking with other couples through difficult life seasons in environments of grace.
Cam owns Seelye Group Ltd. and when he can find a few unscheduled minutes, he enjoys his horses, skiing and mountain biking.
