Frequently Asked Questions

"Why should I be involved in a small group at WVC?"
At Woodmen Valley Chapel, we believe small groups are the best way to connect people-to-people and people-to-God. The small group environment is a personal, versatile environment for spiritual growth, encouragement, and the primary means for a believer in the 21st century to experience authentic biblical community.

"What will be expected of me in a WVC small group?"
Basic relationship-building principles like commitment, honesty, and trust are expected of each small group participant. Each group will include people on different levels of spiritual maturity. No one is expected to read, pray, or share beyond their comfort level.

"When and where do small groups meet?"
Each small group determines their meeting location and time. Most WVC small groups meet for about two hours once per week in a group member's living room. New groups are being established to extend the traditional boundaries of the living room environment.

"Do I need to be a follower of Jesus Christ to participate in a WVC small group?"
No. Small groups at Woodmen Valley Chapel are open to people who are "kicking the tires" of Christianity. A small group is a safe environment to investigate, seek, and learn about God. Small groups are a great environment to witness authentic biblical community in action.

"How do I get involved in a small group?"
Woodmen Valley Chapel has a number of entry points into small groups. Each quarter, we offer a Small Group Launch where you can get an overview of Woodmen Valley Chapel's vision for small groups and get connected with others who are seeking authentic biblical community. Also, you can learn more about small groups by visiting the guest center after one of our weekend worship services. Or you can CLICK HERE to contact the small group staff directly.
