Moms & Beyond

Moms & Beyond is a ministry designed for mothers of ALL ages. Some of us have small children; others have teens; others are raising their grandchildren.

Our theme for the 2011-2012 season is Seeds of Heaven -- Visible Reminders of Invisible Truths. "The Kingdom of heaven is a like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches." Matthew 13:31-32.

We will be looking at the intricacies of God's creation and how His relationship with all He has created is a direct reflection of His relationship with us. Learn how everything around us can be used to teach our children about God's love and ultimate plans for our lives. We will talk about the beauty around us and how it reflects the makings of a woman's soul.

Discover how ants, oak trees, sand dollars, bruised bananas, and more all relate to the God-given roles of a woman as: a child of God, wife, mother, woman, homemaker, and in the community.

Through the widom of our mentor moms and guest speakers, we will learn how to use God's Word and His creation to plant the Seeds of Heaven in our homes and our small piece of the world.

Moms & Beyond meets Tuesday mornings from 9-11:30 in Room 107 of the Rockrimmon Worship Center. Fee is $45 for the school year.

Childcare available: New this year, you may register for childcare (birth-K) at the same time you register for your study. Childcare must be reserved through online registration or by calling 48 hours in advance at 719.388.5002.

Moms & Beyond Assistant Mentors

Are we meant for you? We are inviting older women at Woodmen to "take a look" if you think you might enjoy working with younger women raising their families. You will be coming alongside, to form friendships and listen to their concerns. We do not meet in the summer, but we would love to take time and share what Moms and Beyond is all about.
