Pastoral Care Ministries

Our Pastoral Care Ministries seek to provide biblically centered counsel for life's challenges. This ministry includes premarital counseling, proactive seminars and workshops on life skills, benevolence and crisis instruction. The ministry also provides training for individuals who wish to work in crisis intervention, hospital, and nursing home ministry.

More information about the pastors, counselors, and staff can be found here.

If you're faced with a situation that is causing you to experience hopelessness, please let us know immediately. A member of Woodmen Valley's pastoral staff is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to walk with you during life's struggles. More information is available here.

Hospital/Home/Nursing Home Visitation

Illness and hospitalization can be a stressful life event and we would like to offer you spiritual and emotional support during that time. If you or someone you know will be going into the hospital, having surgery, coming home from the hospital, or is in a nursing home, please contact Terri Dole at 719.388.4974 and we will have a Pastor or hospital team member come and pray with you.

Stephen Ministry is a biblically-based outreach of trained men and women who serve by walking alongside those who are hurting. Stephen Ministers reach out with God's love to people who are hurting--both congregation members and nonmembers.

Blended Family Ministry

The Blended Family Ministry exists to educate, equip and support blended families in order to prevent divorce and provide hope and healing. We want to share what it means to live as a Christ-centered family and provide tools that will help people accomplish this.

What is a “Blended Family” anyway?
A “blended family” is a family with at least one child, regardless of age, who is not the biological child of both parents due to remarriage or adoption. Because one or more of the children are not the biological children of both parents, effort usually is required to help the new family bond or blend. This is easy and feels natural for the parents who fall in love and choose to remarry. It may not feel natural and can be much more difficult for the children involved.

If you are interested in participating in future Blended Family activities or have a heart to serve as a ministry partner in this area, email Terri Dole at tdole@woodmenvalley.org.
