Middle Schoolers at WVC AWANA further advance their developing leadership with the Trek program offered on Wednesdays at Rockrimmon & Woodmen Heights campuses during regular club hours
After completing Trek Check (the entrance book), Middle Schoolers work together through the materials each year, regardless of their age. The road trip/travel theme magazine-size & style, color layout materials make it exciting and fun and so do memorable video clips intros called Trek JumpStart. The students can also do the optional Compass Points.
Trek clubbers will also work as LITs (Leaders in Training) for the younger clubbers by working with an assigned group of kids and listening to verses.
During the year, Middle Schoolers have the opportunity of participate in the AWANA Grand Prix.
At the end of the year awards ceremony, Middle Schoolers receive various types of recognition. Besides participation and book awards, there are also the Excellence Award (two yrs of club & 4th grade or higher) and the Timothy Award (4 yrs of club & 6th grade or higher) and working toward the Awana Meritorious and Citation Award tracks.
