Preschoolers at WVC AWANA have a special program just for them. Children who are 3 years old by September 1st of the current enrollment year and potty trained can join in the fun of games, puppets, crafts, stories, song time and other activies with kids their age led by loving leaders and directors.
This two-year program works through 2 handbooks: Jumper and Hopper. All the Cubbies use the same book for one year; then, those who don't gradute switch to the other book for the following year so no matter when your child enters they will get to experience all 24 Bear Hugs in each book and earn patches and awards. If your child finishes the book for that year, two extra-credit handbooks are available with more memory verses and activites.
At the end of each year, an awards ceremony is held. Every clubber's name is called and they are awarded a participation certificate and a Book Award for a competed book.
