Red Rock Canyon - Quarry Loop Hike

Description:
Now flourishing in its 3rd season, Red Rock Open Space is the beautiful area of red rock fins you see to the south of Garden of the Gods across Hwy 24. Called the “secret” Garden of the Gods once, the canyon is now a huge draw to local climbers and hikers.
We’ll follow an easy, rewarding loop that perfectly captures the character of this space. Wandering back past warm, vertical rock spines towards two small reservoirs, we’ll eventually cross through the old sandstone quarry and wind our way back out again with excellent views of Garden of the Gods, stretching out to the north.
Trailhead Directions from I-25:
Going south on I-25 past downtown, take Exit 141 onto Cimmaron St. heading west. Continue past the stoplight at 31st street and take the next left onto Ridge Rd/High St.. Continue straight back into the newly completed parking area.
